Clinical Studies in San Antonio, TX

Diagnostics Research Group performs clinical research studies that evaluate the safety and effectiveness of new drugs, treatments, and medical devices. Patients who enroll in our clinical studies can expect quality care at no cost during their participation.

Those interested in volunteering for clinical research studies or a clinical trial have access to free health screenings that can include allergy, blood pressure, blood sugar, breathing, and cholesterol tests. Once a volunteer qualifies for a study, he/she can expect to receive study medication, study related medical exams, and compensation for time and travel.

The amount of compensation received varies—depending on the type of research studies being conducted and the participation level of the patient. In addition, all parking tickets are validated when patients visit our research facility for study related appointments.

Our facility is located in the Texas Neurosciences Building (TNI Building) in the South Texas Medical Center of San Antonio, TX. Diagnostics Research Group is staffed with board certified medical investigators who are extensively trained in both medical practice and clinical research.

Currently, eleven members of our staff are certified by the Academy of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP), and we are proud to say that all of our clinical research coordinators are nurses. Since opening our doors in June of 2000, we have participated in more than 200 studies.

Our Principal Investigators include: Charles P. Andrews, MD, CPI, John R. Holcomb, MD, CPI, Randell C. Bell, MD, and Nora L. Walker, MD. We are proud to serve San Antonio, TX and the surrounding areas.

We concentrate on many different therapeutic areas, such as: allergy symptoms, pulmonary, internal medicine, vaccines, sleep disorders, women’s health, and more. We have the expertise to perform studies in the following areas:

• Allergies (Seasonal Allergic Rhinitis including: Ragweed allergies, Cedar allergy, and Oak allergies as well as Perennial Allergic Rhinitis including molds, dust, and dust mites)
